BAF is managed by a board of directors who also participate in the day-to-day functions of the organization. An advisory board is also in place whose members are drawn from individuals who have proven expertise and exemplary track records in their various sectors, on a national and international scale.

The people we work with

We work with women, and children, especially girls in poor, rural, and marginalized areas in Africa. The people we work with have great potential to better their lives but lack adequate information and resources necessary for them to make decisions and advance themselves.

Where we work

We work in rural areas which are characterized by poor infrastructure, lack of information, difficulty in access to resources, and high levels and incidences of poverty. While everyone’s growth is curtailed in such environments, it is usually women and children who bear the full brunt of the realities.
